Foster and adoptive parents….A Ministry from the Lord

5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet
Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.
6 And he will turn
The hearts of the fathers to the children,
And the hearts of the children to their fathers,
Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”

Some of you that know me and what I do know that I am a foster care social worker.  For those who don’t now you do. I have been working in the field of child welfare (foster care) since October of 2007.  It seems crazy to me how time has flown by working in this field but one thing remains.  No matter where you are the need for foster and adoptive parents is great.  I have some friends that have become foster and adoptive parents along the way and I salute them.  But the call, the ministry is still in need of laborers.

Now I know that some of you are thinking what is she talking about? Ministry? Yes, I said ministry and this is one that is close to the Lord’s heart.
