Make it Plain

“Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.”

Habakkuk 2:2

This week as I have been training teachers in trauma, and how to identify it and some skills to help themselves and their students I have learned a valuable lesson in the importance of making things plain. Psychology concepts can be complex and difficult to understand. This is even more so when you need to have it translated to French in a country where some of these concepts make no sense. So I had to work to make it plain, to make plain the concepts and the information in order to best assist the people. In the trainings as I broke down concepts to be easier to understand and took out the jargon it also helped me to better understand the concepts and remember them.

I wonder how often we try and communicate the vision of what the Lord has told us only to give so much information that people can’t understand it or run with it. When the vision is not always clear people do not remember it, and can’t communicate it to others. The leaders I have noticed that have people that are running with their vision have really clear and easy communicate visions.

What is the vision that we have been given? Are we able to communicate it to others?
